HEK293 cells transfected with boTLR2 do not recognize triacylated LP while human or murine heterodimers were activated by these stimuli. HEK293 cells were transfected with (A) boTLR2 (B) huTLR2 or (C) muTLR2 and stimulated after 24 h with 100 nM of di- and triacylated LP with the peptide moieties FEPPPATTT, SK₄ or GDPKHPKSF. After 24 h IL-8 production was detected in the supernatant. Values are means ± SD of n = 2 and represent the result of at least 3 independent experiments.
