The expression of hilA and ssrA in Salmonella Typhimurium grown in LB medium supplemented with different concentrations of DON. The light production was measured every 15 min during 24 h and is expressed as the relative gene expression. The results represent the means of three independent experiments conducted in triplicate and their standard deviation. Superscript (a) refers to a significantly higher expression of hilA and ssrA compared to the unexposed control wells (p < 0.05).
