To favour a broad and easy access to all published scientific information, Veterinary Research uses a service called Open Access Option (OAO). It offers the possibility for authors to make their papers freely available to all interested readers (subscribers or non subscribers) as soon as the articles are published online, in exchange for payment of a basic fee. OAO is available at a discount fee of 400 € (or 500 $ for US clients) per article in 2010. To choose OAO, authors who are interested should fill out the form that is sent after acceptance of the article. Many authors have already taken advantage of this opportunity.
